OUR EMMAUS COMMUNITY
At Lake Houston United Methodist Church, we have a large Emmaus group who strongly believe in this journey. The focus of Emmaus is God as known in Jesus Christ and how that finds expression in the local church. The objective is to inspire, challenge and equip the local church members for Christian action in their homes, churches and places of work. It also lifts up a way for our grace-filled life to be lived and shared with others. You will make new friends, revive old friendships and find a new family in Emmaus.
The 2010 Emmaus Walks are accepting applicants for all walks. If you have someone in mind that you would like to sponsor, or you-yourself would like to go on a Walk, now is the time to apply. Women's Walks fill up about 6 months ahead of time and Men's Walks about 3 months ahead of time. We can apply now for any walk of the year.
