LHUMC YOUTH

Lake Houston UMC offers a spirit filled, dynamic Youth Ministry where others learn how to have a relationship with Jesus Christ and how to apply that in our lives today. Revolution Youth Ministries is a place where youth; 6th grade to 12th grade, can come hang out with their friends for fun, fellowship and learning more about who we are in Christ. LHUMC has many different activities and ways youth can get involved in this thriving youth group.

Our UM Army group went to Nacogoches, Texas (on Hwy 59 about 2 1/2  hours north of New Caney) this year and made a world of difference in the lives of some of the residents.  Please see the article on the website of KTRE (click the back button to come back to this page) television station written about our group.  They were a blessing to many who could not make repairs to their property such as building wheel chair ramps, painting etc.  But also the residents were a blessing to our youth.  They came away with a new insight and saw the love of God in all the places that they worked.

Some of the Youth Events we offer are: 
Sunday School: Sundays @ 9:45 a.m. 
Youth Worship;   Wednesday - 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. with Pizza and Drinks at 6:30 p.m. (summer only)
MYF will resume on Sunday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in September 
In-Depth Bible Studies: Wednesdays from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m. 
We also offer Youth Service Projects once a month, Youth Sunday every fifth Sunday, and youth outings one Sunday a month.

Some of our activities during the School Year include:
The Ministry Fair, Fall Festival, Huffman Fun Festival, Christmas White Elephant Party, Valentine’s Day Dinner and Dance, Spring Break Mission Trips, retreats and other youth fundraisers.

Summer Activities:
Mission Trips: UM ARMY, Big House, Summer Trips: Worship on the Beach, HOTT (Hang-Out Times on Thursdays): bowling, pool parties,
scavenger hunts, etc… Astro’s games, Lock-Ins and Summer Kick-Off Pool Party
