Since 1961, we have been proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Huffman-Crosby area for over half a century. We are the only United Methodist Church in Huffman. The new Sanctuary funded by this campaign will be a place to come and worship the Lord on the same holy ground where we have been a house of prayer, a place where we’ve had baptisms, weddings, and funerals, a place where lives have been changed and families brought together. With the growing community - new people, new homes, new schools - around us, now is the time to build as we continue our mission... Living to Serve and Serving to Live for Christ.
UPDATE 10/8/19 - Hallelujah! The TXDot permit has been issued! We are closer to beginning construction on our new Sanctuary! Thank you for all the prayers, and keep them coming! Additionally, thank you to Casey Christman in Representative Dan Huberty's office who has worked this past week to move this along. This is exciting! - Pastor Frank Coats

UPDATE 11/04/18 - As of this date, Lake Houston UMC has received commitments for $1,005,652!!! GOD IS GOOD! There will be a Building Approval Meeting on December 9 at 11am following Cantata to vote on plans so we can continue moving forward. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
UPDATE 10/08/18 - This past Sunday was magnificent, with the combined service for our Rise Celebration! We had over 200 people enjoy the fellowship, the music, the skit from Revolution Youth, a special video about our Prayer Week, and the sermon on "Celebration of the Lost". What a fantastic day! Ken and Darilyn Schubert, co-chairs of the campaign, announced that we had raised $867,318 with 43 commitments! Proposed costs for our new Sanctuary are in the million dollar range, so with increased commitments it is possible we can build our new building without any substantial long-term debt!
